Nigel Roberts, MBA, CFA
Nigel founded Bluenose in 2001. He is President of the firm and is a licensed Portfolio Manager. Nigel specializes in all aspects of portfolio design and management including establishing investment policies, security analysis and security selection. He has more than 25 years of investment experience.
Nigel holds a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Waterloo and a Master’s degree in business administration (MBA) from the University of Western Ontario. He has been a registered professional engineer in both British Columbia and Ontario. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder and is a member of the CFA Institute. He was on the Board of Directors for the local society (Okanagan CFA Society) for six years.
Nigel has contributed to articles for a number of respected publications including the Globe and Mail and Financial Post. He has been interviewed on a variety of investment topics and quoted in articles in national and local publications.
Nigel takes great pleasure in spending time with his family including his wife and 3 children. He is also an avid photographer whose enthusiasm has taken him around the world.
